Merchandise Returns  Return for Refund Policy

No refunds can or will be accepted without prior authorization from our RMA Department. To request a Return Authorization Number for a purchase refund or store credit please open a TICKET and state your REFUND / STORE CREDIT CLAIM or call us at (888) 733-1356 and our friendly representative will help you in opening a ticket. Refund policy is only valid in the first 14 days of item purchase, after the 14 day grace period the purchased item is now considered a store credit only item (Return for Exchange Policy is in effect).

Shipping charges are not refundable; unless product was damaged during shipping process. All items must be shipped freight prepaid through UPS, double-boxed with the given Return Authorization Number (RMA#) displayed in plain sight on the outside of the package. (Failure to do so will result to a RTS - Retrun to sender). A copy of your 800carstereo.com invoice MUST be included with all returns for refund.

Merchandise must be in "new" or "like-new" condition to be accepted by our RMA Department. Returns will be credited at the sale price on the invoice (less if any fees apply). If no invoices or receipts are included with the returned package, 800carstereo will issue a credit at the current selling price of the product or the price at the time of sale of the product, whichever is lower.

All items must be returned complete, with every accessory, manual and given equipment that it came with. Any missing parts or damaged packaging will be deducted from amount credited, unless proof is given otherwise that the damage happened during our shipping process. Items returned with missing accessories (i.e. remote controls, wire harnesses, etc.) are subject to a charge of $25 and up for the replacement of any missing accessories. Items returned damaged and or abused will not be accepted and will be shipped back at your cost.

A 18% re-stocking fee less shipping fees and handling fees will apply to all returned purchases requesting a refund for non-defective items, if customer claims item(s) was/is damaged to avoid the re-stocking fee and upon inspection turns out to be a false claim, customer will be contacted and will be given an option to receive the item back at customers shipping expense or have it re-stocked and be charged with the 18% re-stocking fee. It is 800CarStereo Inc.'s finaly decision to determine the validity of the customer claim.

Exchange policy is only valid for the first 30 days of the purchase date otherwise if the item / product is covered under the manufacturers 1 year limited exchange warranty, we will honor the exchange, this may differ from manufacturers own policy, you may call or email us for further details.

Repair policy is valid for the first year of purchase date, upon receipt of the item our in-house technical department will inspect the product for product problems/defects and upon determining the problem we will then ship it out to the manufacturer for final repair, if item has physical damage or has been damaged due to ware and tare we may contact the customer to inform them of the status and if customer is aware of the physical state of hi/her merchandise 800 Car Stereo Inc. will process it for repair and will ship it back to the customer in the physical state it was received. (It is 800 Car Stereo Inc.'s sole descretion on handling items/merchandise for repairs) - Repair process may take up to 2-6 weeks depening of the extent of the damage/defect or availabity of parts, this will differ from manufacturers - Prior to sending the item back for repair you may contact us to help you determine a repair time frame.

Merchandise Returns Warranty Policy:

All new products unless otherwise noted carry a 1 year limited warranty from 800CarStereo.Com you may contact us to find out about your product warranty details, refurbished and open box products carry 60 days limited warranty. Depending on the manufacturer and the defect, the product may be repaired, replaced, or refunded (specific ppolicies do apply).

800CarStereo.Com warranty is voided if specific serial numbers, product stickers, or manufacturer seals have been removed, altered or tampered in any way. Warranty is also voided due to user abuse, misuse, defacing, and improper operation or installation.


The warranty does not cover:

  • Misuse, abuse, or improper installation / operation.
  • Subwoofers and speakers are not warranted against being blown, burned or abused. Please view our Abuse and Installation Error Policy
 

Merchandise Returns Order Cancellation Policy:

All orders are automatically processed on our secure merchant processor and sent for order processing as soon as they are placed. During this process we incur irreversible fees. Therefore, while we understand that orders might need to be changed sometimes, we are unable to do it free of charge after a certain point. We strictly adhere to the following cancellation policy:

• If you cancel your order BEFORE it has been shipped, you will be assessed a 10% cancellation fee before credit is issued.

• If you cancel your order AFTER it has been shipped, please follow our Return Policies & Procedures above. The cancellation will have to be treated as a Return with all applicable fees.

• Orders which are REFUSED AT DELIVERY will be assessed all of the applicable fees listed above - including restocking, cancellation and other applicable fees.

Note: If you want to a particular order replaced or upgraded that is not considered a cancellation of order but an ADJUSTMENT - To do the following please open a TICKET or give us a call directly (888) 733-1356 (9am-5pm PST) If we have contacted you about your order due to STOCK ISSUES with the manufacturer within 24-48 hours upon placement of order and have given you a time frame and would like to cancel before the time frame given a 10% cancellation fee is still applicable. If we have not contacted you whatsoever and if it is determined that it is 800CarStereo Inc.'s error the 10% cancellation fee will be waived and a full refund will be issued. It is 800 Car Stereo Inc.'s final decision to determine if the cancellation fee is applicable or not.

 

Merchandise Returns Item / Product Availability and Pricing Policy:

800CarStereo.Com reserves the right to to update/change prices according to its suppliers/manufactuer pricing changes or any pricing discounts it may have as a special promotion, prices and discounts may change without prior notice. All prices special or regular pricing is ONLY VALID on the date it has been activated, if there are pending orders due to verification issues or any other customer related delays and upon finaly processing of order and the pricing of the item is no longer in effect or has changed for any reason, customer will be informed about the change of price and the details of the circumstance otherwise if the order has gone through all the necessary verification and transaction process without any delays, the ORIGINAL PURCHASE PRICE is honored.

800CarStereo.Com's inventory is updated on a daily basis although it may not be 100% accurate therefore 800CarStereo.Com is not responisble for any orders placed on the event it is in the middle of a product inventory check, if so this occurs the customer is the then contacted by a representative and given the circumstances involved with his/her order. Altertatives will always be given.

 

Merchandise Returns Abuse and or Installation Error:

800CarStereo.Com defines abuse of product as, but not limited to, burnt voice coils (blackened, no continuity, melted adhesives, coil separated from the former, etc.) punctured or damaged surrounds, broken speaker terminals, bent, chipped or broken frames, ripped spiders or damaged back plates. Items submitted with any of the above will be considered out of warranty by our RMA Department. 800carstereo will not be held liable for loss of use, installation, removal and reinstallation charges associated with the defective or returned product. Products that have been improperly installed will no longer be carried under warranty, and no credit or exchange will be given or made. It is highly recommended that you get your equipment professionally installed to prevent such loss. All returns, exchanges and refunds are processed within 2 weeks upon receiving the item. Please allow 2-6 weeks from the time you return your item for your refund or exchange to be seen. If you are expecting a REFUND and paid using a credit card, please allow 2 full billing cycles for the credit to appear on your card statement.
